Course Description
This course reviews the emergence of the field of developmental psychopathology. Issues to be covered include the etiology of childhood disorders such as autism, conduct disorder, childhood depression, and attachment disorders. In each case, developmental outcome and programs of intervention are explored. Special emphasis is given to the developmental trajectories following from childhood maltreatment. The course is crosslisted with New School for Social Research.
